ABLEPaws of Arkansas

ABLEPaws, Inc., a Pet Partners® Community Group, is a 501(c)(3), a non-profit group of registered Pet Partners® teams visiting hospitals, schools and other facilities and special events in the central Arkansas area. Our mission is to bring hope and healing to others through the human animal bond. Our teams participate in Animal Assisted Interventions of both Animal Assisted Activities, therapy and education. The former includes activities which provide opportunities for motivational, educational or recreational benefits to help patients feel better and happier and includes visits to nursing homes and visits to children in their hospital rooms. Animal assisted therapy includes activities which are goal directed and under the care of a health professional such as working with a child and their therapist to recover range of motion by throwing a ball or walking with an animal down a hallway. Educational interventions include Pet Partners® Read with Me, Community Education, Safety Programs and Bite Prevention in the schools. You will always find smiles on the faces of patients, families and the staff who have received a visit from one of our teams.
